Flora:  Spring

 

Officially the months of March, April and May, Spring is "when the sun is sometimes hot and the wind often cold; when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade" [Charles Dickens, Great Expectations].  To gardeners especially it is a time of planning, preparation and expectation.  

 

We hope to be able to continue recording our Spring flora in 2015...   the photos are dated as some were taken before the launch of this website.   No apologies for some repeats here; we are just so devastated that it is probably our last chance to capture them...  And the Spring seems to be extra bountiful this year, as if the flora knows it is their last showcase 'before the bulldozer' ...
