Mammals

Well they're definitely there!  We see the signs - prints, spoor; hear the noises - shuffles, barks, squeaks; and occasionally catch sight of them... fox, stoat, shrew, rodents of course...   But have we any good photos?  Well, we keep trying!

Definitely a work in progress, but here's a start:-

Here is a short clip of some interesting mammal activity on the P-Block main avenue on 16 July 2014.   Can you spot more than one mammal?

It is now February 2015.  Badger snoutings have been visible again during the winter, especially around the main entrance, the P-block avenues and most grassy areas on other avenues.  Here are two shots of parts of a track photographed on the avenue outside plots 126/127 (rear of houses on Russell Drive) on 21 Feb 2015.

The third photo is of a shrew taken on 25 June 2015;  the kestrel has been busy over the plots for a few days, and obviously this is one that escaped its clutches... but met its end.
